| Je laisse la description, qui pointe un fait intéressant... "in the course of the "Asteroid Terrestrial-Impact Last Alert System" (ATLAS) search program
a comet was discovered as apparently an asteroidal object with a 0.5-m reflector at Haleakala,
Hawaii and be found cometary by other CCD-astrometrists. So could H. Sato, Tokyo, Japan, found a strongly condensed coma 8" in diameter on his ten stacked 60-s exposures taken on 2019 June 12.4 UT . L. Buzzi, Varese, Italy, could found a diffuse, round 9" coma with no tail seen in stacked images obtained in bright moonlight on June 17.0 with a 0.84-m f/3.5 reflector.
E. Bryssinck, Kruibeke, Belgium, on June 22.95 with a 0.4-m f/3.8 reflector found a diffuse 13" coma and no tail; fifteen stacked additional images obtained on June 26.98 show a diffuse, faint, and coma of size 23"x15", elongated east/west, with no specific tail; the magnitude was 18.7 in a circular aperture of radius 4".9.
Also T. Chen found cometary appearance of this object (measured by D.W.E. Green), 24 images
of 40 sec each reveals a coma of size around 6" (there appears to be a short extension toward the northwest).
Twenty-six additional exposures taken by Chen on June 30.9 show an apparent coma of size about 4"
(in seeing about 2".5), with a possible short extension toward p.a. about 110 degrees.
This object was assigned as comet C/2019 L3 (ATLAS) via CBET 4644 issued on 2019 July 1 ."Son grand intérêt est sa magnitude, qui frôle les 9 pour le moment, ce qui la rend observable par de petits instruments...
